The Mount Airy Main Street Association is pleased to pass on the news that Calvary United Methodist Church is sponsoring “How to Respond to an Active Assailant” on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7 p.m. Details may be found in the announcement below.
Calvary UMC/Mt Airy to Offer Active Shooter Program
In recognition and response to increasing acts of violence being committed in
public places across the U.S., Calvary UMC in Mt. Airy and its Safe Church
Committee are sponsoring “How to Respond to an Active Assailant”, a public
presentation on Friday, April 12, beginning at 7pm in Good Shepherd Hall.
Calvary UMC is located at 403 S. Main St. in Mt. Airy.
The program has been organized by the Mt. Airy Police Department (MAPD) and
will be presented by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.
All members of the Calvary congregation, members of other local churches and
local residents are invited to attend. So, too, are representatives of local
businesses and other organizations who frequently convene group meetings.
