Board of Directors & Secretary (Exec) Election 2023

 The votes are in! As announced on Monday. June 19, 2023 on Facebook and in an email, and on the MAMSA Website and through previous emails, the MAMSA 2023 Board of Directors and Secretary (Executive Commitee meber) Election opened at approximately 7:00 PM on Monday, June 19 and closed on Tuesday, June 20 at 7 AM.  The Electronic Ballots were cast through our Google Forms app, the votes were counted the election results were announced as follows:

Secretary - Executive Committee  (fulfilling vacancy) - Term July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024

Board of Directors Slate - vote for four (4)

There are four seats open on the Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA) Board of Directors.  The following names were submitted as nominees to fill those slots.  The following provides you with an overview of the nominees and their statements to prepare for the MAMSA Board of Directors election at the June 19, 2023 meeting.

Alexandra Banderas i would like to participate in promoting Mount Airy Main Street as a community where families can gather and promote its businesses. Alexandra has served as a Board Member since July 2021.

Billy Deavers 

I joined MAMSA to help my business stay more connected to the community. As a board member and a business owner it is my goal to help foster mutually beneficial relationships between the businesses on Main Street and in our Mount Airy community. Billy has served as a Board Member fulfilling a vacant spot since August 2023.

David Reagle

David is a business owner in Downtown Mount Airy and has been instrumental in our Downtown Business Community, working in collaboration with businesses. He has been a board member since July 2021 and served previously as a board member through June 2018. 
 

Open Seat - Write-In Voters may write in a person’s name. Each write-in will count as one vote against the four allowed for each voter. 

Executive Committee - Vote for Up to One (1)

Secretary (fulfilling vacant seat through June 30, 2024)


Raymond Miller 
I have been secretary in other organizations. I am very familiar on how to take attendance and notes during meetings. I have been a member of organizations like MAMSA for over 25 years.
