There are four seats open on the Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA) Board of Directors. The following names were submitted as nominees to fill those slots. The following provides you with an overview of the nominees and their statements to prepare for the MAMSA Board of Directors election at the June 2021 meeting.

The votes are in! The Board of Directors Election opened at approximately 7:00 PM on Monday, June 21 and closed at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, June 22. After Electronic Ballots were cast through our Google Forms app, the votes were counted.

The Mount Airy Main Street Association Election Results announced on Tuesday, June 22 are as shown below. Thanks to everyone who participated in the election!

Alexandra Banderas - ï‚· I am looking forward to be part of the community and be a part of the continued effort of promoting downtown Mt. Airy as a gathering place for cultural and business activity. ï‚· I have 30 plus years in Sales and Marketing
ï‚·I am focused and very creative.


Chad Ferguson - After being nominated, I would like to serve on the board to help the Main Street area to gain tourists and have our businesses succeed. I hope to bring some fresh ideas to the association so we can draw more people to
town. I have worked in many different industries over the years and hope I can put my knowledge and ability to work.

Lesley Ryan - I have worked for three small businesses in Mt. Airy, two of which are located on Main Street. Currently I am working at George’s Girls Jewelry. I can offer perspective on both retail establishments and restaurants.

 

Open Seat Write-In Voters may write in a person’s name. Each write-in will count as one vote against the four allowed for each voter.
