Tell Congress to Support Main Street! 

 

August 7, 2020 - Main Street America is seeking support for a $100 million dollar competitive grant program to support coordinating programs, local programs and Main Street businesses. Complete this form to send a letter to your representatives in the House and Senate and speak up for Main Street. Learn more below.

  1. Main Street America is seeking additional funding for the Economic Development Administration in the next COVID relief package with the inclusion of a $100M competitive grant program to support Main Street coordinating programs, local programs, and small businesses.

  2. The House and Senate proposals are far apart, specifically on budget. But negotiations are moving quickly, and there is a chance for our Main Street proposal to be included. We need every Main Street program to be reaching out to all Congressional offices TODAY.

  3. Here’s what you can do:

    1. Complete the online form. Share wildly.

    2. Seek out “grasstops” connections to connect with Members.

    3. Get them on the phone if you can – make the case!

    4. Send us a follow-up to report back (to me or anyone in the “to” line here).
