About The Event

In recognition and response to increasing acts of violence being committed in public places across the U.S., Calvary UMC in Mt. Airy and its Safe Church Committee are sponsoring “How to Respond to an Active Assailant”, a public presentation on Friday, April 12, beginning at 7pm in Good Shepherd Hall. Calvary UMC is located at 403 S. Main St. in Mt. Airy.

The program has been organized by the Mt. Airy Police Department (MAPD) and will be presented by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.

All members of the Calvary congregation, members of other local churches and local residents are invited to attend. So, too, are representatives of local businesses and other organizations who frequently convene group meetings.
