Mount Airy Main Street Association's Membership Meetings are held every other month (even months - February, April, June, August, October & December) on the third Monday of the month, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Town Hall*, 110 S. Main Street, Mount Airy, Maryland 21771


*Location, Date & Time subject to change.

Current Membership Period: January 1 - December 31 (Changed to Calendar Year as of January 1, 2020). *Any member who joined for October- December  2020 are grandfathered into membership for the 2021 Calendar Year.

Are you interested in participating in the planning and helping with Mount Airy Main Street events? Are you interested in supporting Main Street?


We invite you to become a member of the Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA). MAMSA holds meetings the third Monday on even months. (While COVID restrictions are in place, these meetings are virtual.) We encourage all members to participate in the meetings, however, it is not a requirement for joining.

By joining you help fulfill our mission to foster interest in downtown Mount Airy. MAMSA is a completely volunteer organization and 100% of membership dues and donations go right back into supporting Historic Downtown Mount Airy.

2020 MAMSA Accomplishments:

  • Chocolate Crawl – brought over 600 people to 17 participating businesses

  • Hand Sanitizer Donations – provided locally made hand sanitizer to those operating at the beginning of the pandemic

  •  Virtual Super Saturday Event – partnered with Town Staff, promoted shopping local

  • Farmers’ Market – brought an average of 405 patrons per market day

  • Restaurant Week – collaborated with Town Staff to promote attendance

  • Pop-up Park – provided maintenance at park for a downtown gatheringspot (Lawn Services)

  • Coordinated Cars and Coffee – attended by approximatly 50-75 classic car owners

  • Established Retail/Restaurant Committee – led by Erin Matthews

  • HalloWeekend – brought approximately 1400 people to Main Street

  • Mask Up Mt Airy – provided window clings to businesses 

  • Shop Small Campaign – partnered with the Town to promote downtown business, and collected ad information for WFRE radio commercials

  • Holidays on Main – hosted family friendly and date night activities

  • Focused on building trust through collaboration – continued building relationships with downtown businesses
