November Speaker

On November 16, 2010
MAMSA presented another fascinating
History Program

BRIAN JOHNSON Seneca Indian Warrior

Brian portrays the typical Seneca Woodland Warrior
circa 1740 to 1780.  During the 1750s into the 1760s,
the British and Colonists fought the French and Indians
in the French and Indian War.

Notice the hatchet and the silver necklace in the first picture.
The hatchet, most likely, came by way of a trade with French
fur traders while the necklace is part of the "spoils of war".

Tools of the trade.

After a fascinating talk, Brian takes time to answer questions.
Thanks for bringing history alive.
